Terms & Conditions

Last updated January 15, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Georgia Car Rentals platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all users, including renters, hosts, and visitors. Georgia Car Rentals reserves the right to modify these terms at any time with reasonable notice.

2. Platform Description

Georgia Car Rentals operates a peer-to-peer vehicle rental marketplace connecting vehicle owners ("Hosts") with individuals seeking to rent vehicles ("Renters") in Georgia.

We are a marketplace facilitator, not a rental company. All rental agreements are between Hosts and Renters directly.

3. Eligibility

To use our Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age (25 for certain vehicle categories)
  • Hold a valid U.S. driver's license in good standing
  • Pass our identity verification process
  • Not have more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Not have any DUI/DWI convictions in the past 7 years

4. Cash Payments & Fees

Georgia Car Rentals supports cash payments. All transactions must be documented through the Platform. Platform fees are:

  • Renters: 10% service fee on the base rental rate
  • Hosts: 3% processing fee per completed booking
  • Protection plans billed separately (see Protection Plans page)
  • Late return fees: $25/hour after 1-hour grace period
  • No-show fee: 100% of first day's rental rate

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use vehicles rented through our Platform for:

  • Commercial transportation (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, etc.) unless explicitly permitted
  • Racing, off-road driving, or stunt activities
  • Transporting illegal substances or contraband
  • Crossing state lines without prior written Host approval
  • Subletting or re-renting the vehicle to any third party
  • Any illegal activity whatsoever

6. Liability & Disputes

Georgia Car Rentals is not liable for accidents, injuries, property damage, or losses arising from vehicle use. Renters assume full responsibility for the vehicle during the rental period.

Disputes between Hosts and Renters should first be attempted through our Resolution Center. Unresolved disputes may be escalated to binding arbitration under Georgia law.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, receive repeated negative reviews, or otherwise harm the Platform community.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in Fulton County, Georgia.
